Wellbeing Coaching Programme, endorsed by ILM

Wellbeing Coaching is an approach to understanding wellbeing rather than simply physical health. This programme is aimed at people who would like to develop their understanding and practical skills in coaching adults and young people to improve their wellbeing.

Course description

This ILM Endorsed programme will help you empower clients to improve their health and quality of life using the knowledge, skills and confidence to make necessary lifestyle and behavioural changes.

There are two days of workshops which cover key areas, including:

  • Core wellbeing coaching skills
  • Readiness for change
  • Interpretation of behaviours & markers
  • Improving self-esteem
  • Person led change & action planning
  • Motivation
  • Referral protocols
  • Self management
  • A range of tools and techniques to use

This programme is designed to help those new to this area in coaching – working in schools, nurseries, health, fitness, wellness consultants, health advocates, and other healthcare professionals – to use wellbeing coaching to support clients.

Tutor Profiles

Brenda McKay
RN, DipN, MBA, ILM L7

As a previous Director of Clinical Programmes & Chief Nurse of Cromwell Hospital in London, Brenda has many years of experience in providing coaching as a fundamental solution to staff performance, collegiality, morale and support.  She was a board member with responsibilities for a multidisciplinary and trans-cultural workforce which included senior clinical & non clinical managers, team leaders and staff.  She was responsible for setting strategic direction, ensuring management capacity and capability, to monitor and manage performance. In her capacity as senior tutor at BSC, she now uses these experiences to deliver coaching and mentoring training as well as the ILM Level 7 Certificate in Executive Management.

 

Ana Paula Nacif
ACC, MAC, MSc (Coach.Psy)
Ana is an accredited coach, trainer and facilitator, with over seven years’ experience in design and delivery of training programmes in commercial, public and not-for-profit organisations. Ana provides training in management, leadership and coaching. She also provides facilitation support for teams and leadership group events and workshops. Ana’s areas of specialisation are wellbeing, leadership, management, personal development and career transition.
